Methyl trichlorosilane is a kind of production of various organosilicon compounds. It is the main raw material for the production of water repellent, fumed white carbon black, methyl silicone resin and polysiloxane. Easily volatile, it is very volatile at room temperature, and it is easy to generate hydrochloric acid and white powdery substance in contact with water. It is easy to decompose on heating and generate hydrogen chloride.

This product can be used to produce various organosilicon compounds and is the main raw material for the production of water repellents, fumed white carbon black, methyl silicone resin and polysiloxane.
Methyl chloride and silicon powder are directly synthesized in the presence of cuprous chloride catalyst in the next step to generate a mixture of methylchlorosilane, which is purified by distillation to obtain the product dimethyldichlorosilane, and then separated and purified by vacuum distillation.
Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. The storage temperature should not exceed 37°C. The packaging is required to be sealed and not in contact with air. It should be stored separately from oxidants, acids, alkalis, etc., and avoid mixed storage. Use explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities. It is forbidden to use mechanical equipment and tools that are prone to sparks. The storage area should be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment and suitable storage materials.
Avoid rain and sun during transportation, and store and transport as dangerous goods.
